Nikola Jokić's 2022-23 Was Arguably the Best Individual Statistical Season in NBA History
It looks like Nikola Jokić's MVP streak is going to end at two, but it certainly won't be for lack of production.
Nikola Jokić averaged 24.5 points, 11.8 rebounds, 9.8 assists and 1.3 steals over the course of an entire season. He shot a seemingly impossible 67.5 percent on twos, 38.3 percent on threes and 82.2 percent from the free-throw line.
And it doesn’t look like that will be enough to secure his third straight MVP.
In what was undoubtedly the most narrative-driven race of my 10-plus years professionally covering the NBA, Joel Embiid closed as an overwhelming betting favorite to secure the award.
